Young Talents from Punjab Shine at Khelo India Youth Games

Bhopal: The Khelo India Youth Games at Bhopal saw an impressive performance by the young swimmers from Punjab. The state’s swimming sensation, Jasnoor Kaur, created history by clinching the Gold medal in the Women’s 50m freestyle event, and also winning a Bronze medal in both the Women’s 100m freestyle and 50m butterfly events.

In addition to Jasnoor’s triple medal win, Avni Chabra from Pathankot, Punjab, also made a mark at the games by winning the Bronze medal in the Women’s 50m breaststroke event. This achievement showcases the depth of talent and potential in Punjab’s young swimming community.

Jasnoor’s remarkable performance is the result of her hard work and dedication, as well as the guidance of Coach Johnny Bhatia, the Swimming Coach at the Punjab Sports Department in Mohali. Coach Bhatia’s expert training and support have helped Jasnoor and Avni to reach new heights in their sport and achieve their goals.

Along with Jasnoor and Avni, Vanisha Bashambu, Apurva Sharma, and Arshpreet Kaur, all from Mohali, were also selected to compete at the Khelo India Youth Games. These young athletes have been training under Coach Bhatia’s guidance and have put in tireless effort to reach their full potential.
