Arora’s hard work leads to finally opening portion of elevated road from Bhai Bala Chowk to Sidhwan Canal (Near Gurdwara Nanaksar)

Ludhiana News: Finally, a portion of elevated road from Bhai Bala Chowk to Sidhwan Canal (near Gurdwara Nanaksar) has been made open for the vehicular traffic on Monday, resulting to which residents of this industrial city are seen enthused.

People had not expected such a speedy work. However, all this has been made possible because of efforts made by MP (Rajya Sabha) Sanjeev Arora. Arora has been working hard for early completion of this portion on NH-5, which takes commuters towards Ferozepur, Southern Bypass and Ladhowal Bypass sides. As soon as people learnt about opening of this stretch, the movement of the vehicular traffic started.

Arora thanked the Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Jairam Gadkari, the NHAI chairman Santosh Kumar Yadav and the NHAI Ludhiana Project Director Ashok Kumar Rolaniya for completion of the portion of the elevated road. He hoped that opening of this stretch of the road will provide a great relief to people who wanted to move towards Ferozepur, Southern Bypass and Ladhowal Bypass.  He said he had personally taken up this matter with all the concerned many times. Even this issue was discussed on top priority basis with the officers of various government departments in presence of deputy commissioner Surabhi Malik.

He hoped that vehicular traffic on other side of the elevated road from the Sidhwan Canal (near Gurdwara Nanaksar) to Bharat Nagar Chowk and Mini Secretariat will also be opened within a few days. He said the work on this stretch of the road is going on.  He hoped that once the whole project of elected road is completed Ludhiana city will get free from traffic congestions. He said he would keep on working for early completion of the Rs 756.27-crore elevated road project.

It may be mentioned here that Arora along with all the concerned officials had also taken a trial run on the under construction elevated road from Verka Milk Plant to Mini Secretariat a few days ago.
