DC reviews preparations for ‘ Sarkar- Sanatkar Milni’ on Sept 14

Milni aimed to provide a conducive atmosphere for ease of doing business

Jalandhar News: Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Sarangal on Monday held a review meeting with various departments for finalizing the arrangements for Sarkar- Sanatkar Milni’ on Sep 14 in Bath Castle.

     Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will preside over the mega event.

     Taking stock of arrangements in Bath Castle, The Deputy Commissioner asked the officers to ensure foolproof arrangements for the mega event in which industrial tycoons from Doaba region will take part. He said the officers must make earnest efforts for ensuring the success of this event.

      Sarangal said that Jalandhar had more than 55000 Industrial units and was ranked first in machine & hand tools production in India with exports of more than Rs 1200 cr and commanding more than 50% share in the Indian export market. Besides, Jalandhar is well known for its Sports Goods across the world and supplies to many of the Multinational companies. He also stated that Jalandhar had a strong Auto & Auto components industry and more than 150 Auto Component Manufacturing Units and 15 Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) suppliers.Jalandhar also houses Surgical goods with extremely skilled labour and a booming Food processing Industry.

      The Deputy Commissioner exhorted the industrialists to avail maximum benefit of this program. He said the state government and the district administration was fully available for the industrialists to solve their problems.

     He sought their fulsome support to make the state a front-running industrial state in the country. He further envisioned that the this Sarkar-Sanatkar Milni would go a long way for the holistic industrial development of the state.

     He said that the main aim of the Punjab government was to provide a conducive atmosphere where ease of doing business was ensured for them.
