Pawan Khera arrested by Assam Police after being stopped at Delhi airport

New Delhi: Congress leader Pawan Khera has been arrested by the Assam Police. Earlier, media department head Pawan Khera was taken off from a Raipur-bound flight. Party spokesperson Supriya Shrinate questioned on what basis Kheda has been brought down and whether there is any rule of law in the country.

The incident reportedly took place on IndiGo flight 6E204 and several Congress leaders got down from the plane and staged a protest.
After arresting Pawan Khera, Prashant Kumar Bhuyan, IGP L&O of Assam Police, said, “We have requested the Delhi Police to arrest him (Pawan Khera). After taking permission from the local court, we will bring them to Assam.”
Earlier, Prashant Kumar Bhuyan said that a case has been registered against Congress leader Pawan Khera at Haflong police station in Dima Hasao district of Assam. An Assam Police team left for Delhi to seek the remand of Pawan Khera in connection with the case.
