PM Modi inaugurates 119-km-long Bengaluru-Mysore Expressway

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday inaugurated the 10-lane Bengaluru-Mysore Expressway in Karnataka. The project involves six-laning of the Bengaluru-Nidaghatta-Mysore section of NH-275. The 119-km-long project has been developed at a total cost of around Rs 8,480 crore.

Modi also tagged a tweet by Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari which said that the construction of the Bengaluru-Mysore Expressway will lead to the development of four rail overbridges, nine important bridges, 40 minor bridges and 89 underpasses and overpasses.
The Prime Minister also laid the foundation stone for a four-lane highway between Mysuru-Kushalnagar.
The 92-km road project will be developed at a cost of around Rs 4,130 crore. The project will play an important role in strengthening Kushalnagar’s connectivity with Bengaluru and help reduce the travel time between them from around five hours to just two and a half hours.
