Taking up matter with MEA of 700 Punjabi students being deported from Canada: MP Vikramjit Sahney

Punjab News: Aam Aadmi Party’s Rajya Sabha MP Vikramjit Sahney said he would take up with the Ministry of External Affairs the issue of sending back 700 students from Punjab who had gone to study in Canada. He claimed that he would raise the issue with External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar at the parliamentary committee meeting. In this context, he has spoken to the Indian High Commission in Ottawa and got information about the matter.

Vikramjit Singh said that he has spoken to the Indian High Commission. The matter has been asked to be thoroughly investigated so that the students can find out who issued these fake papers. The culprits should be punished.
We will request the Canadian government not to deport the students. They should be rehabilitated in Canadian universities. MP said that he is continuing his efforts to provide employment to Punjabi youth.
