Power department completes recruitment process of 2424 vacancies, will hand over appointment letters soon: Harbhajan Singh ETO

Chandigarh: The state government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has continuously been providing employment to the youth of the state and the Power department will soon hand over appointment letters to the candidates who have been selected against 2424 vacancies.

Giving this information, the Power Minister Mr. Harbhajan Singh ETO said that the recruitment process against various 2424 recruitment process related to Group A, B and C posts in PSPCL has been completed and will hand over the appointment letters soon to the successful candidates. He said that as many as 1397 candidates have already been facilitated with government jobs in the power department during the last one year.

The Cabinet Minister, while divulging details about the new vacancies, said that out of total 2424, 02 posts were of Assistant Managers (IT, Group A), 36 Junior Engineers (Group B) and 2386 vacancies include Assistant Linemen, LDCs and Clerks (Group B) etc.

 

Regular employment given to 1397 youths in Power department during last one year

The Power Minister, giving information about the government jobs provided during the last year, said that till now, 26 Assistant Engineers (Electrical), 05 Assistant Managers (IT), 85 Junior Engineers (Electrical), 59 Junior Engineers (Sub-station) , 14 Junior Engineers (Civil), 294 ASSAs, 08 Electricians (Grade-II), 08 Assistant Linemen, 03 Superintendents (Divisional Accounts), 25 Revenue Accountants, 677 LDCs/Clerks , 60 Servants/Chowkidars (Priority basis) 38 LDCs (on priority basis) and 95 RTMs etc. have been recruited.

Mr. Harbhajan Singh ETO further said that around 27,000 government jobs have been provided to the eligible youths of the state during the last one year. He said that these jobs have been provided on the basis of ability and pure merit.
