Rahul Gandhi gets bail till April 13 in defamation case; Next hearing on May 3

New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has been granted bail till April 13 by a Surat court in a defamation case. The court posted the matter for further hearing on May 3. Rahul Gandhi had filed two applications in the sessions court in Surat.

One sought quashing of the sentence awarded in the defamation case and the other sought regular bail.

Earlier, Rahul Gandhi reached Surat with his sister Priyanka Gandhi. Rahul had also met Sonia Gandhi in the morning before leaving for Surat from Delhi.
