395 days of Sidhu Moosewala murder case, 28th hearing today in the case

Chandigarh: It has been 395 days since the Sidhu Moosewala massacre. The 28th hearing in the case will be held by the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) of Mansa today. There have been 27 hearings in this case, but till date the charges have not been framed against the accused. Moosewala’s mother Charan Kaur has also posted a question whether all the accused will be able to appear before the court in the 28th hearing.
In fact, in the Sidhu Moosewala murder case, the court has directed the jail administration to present everyone in person or through video conferencing on June 28, so that the court proceedings can be taken forward.
The Investigation Committee (SIT) has filed 2 charge sheets against 31 accused including gangster Lawrence, Goldy Brar and Jaggu Bhagwanpuria. It has been claimed that these murders were done out of revenge between Lawrence and Bambiha gang.
More than nine months have passed since the Punjab Police filed a charge sheet in the Moosewala case, but the court is yet to frame charges against the accused. The big reason behind this is a challenge for the authorities to present all the accused together or through video conferencing.
