Rupnagar: Father kills one-year-old daughter
Rupnagar: A father killed his one-year-old daughter in Bhalyan village of Sri Chamkaur Sahib. After committing the crime, the father took the girl to the government hospital in Rupnagar, where the doctor found the girl dead and despite being asked by the doctor, the girl’s father did not give any proper answer to the injuries on the girl’s body.
The girl’s father, Sikander Singh, is absconding after the incident.
Family members said that Sikander Singh had three daughters and he often used to beat his daughter for this reason and even today he beat his daughter and made her lie on the bed and told the girl’s mother Seema that she was sleeping, but when Seema saw that the girl was not breathing after two hours, she shouted. Singh rushed his daughter to a government hospital where doctors declared her brought dead.
