CCTV Cameras to be installed at 86 places in border areas in first phase to prevent smuggling
Amritsar News: Security agencies have taken some new initiatives to crack down on cross-border drug and arms smuggling in the border area. Under this, while CCTV cameras will keep an eye on the movement of smugglers and drones at all times, the police will now fight them on the roads of the border area where smugglers have been making shields.
For this, in the initial phase, cameras will be installed at 86 border places in Tarn Taran. Also, maps of border areas will be made. These will include all the 11, 22 and 44 feet paths in the area for which the process of acquiring land has reached the first phase or the last stage.
This entire process will be completed this month. DGP Gaurav Yadav has clearly said that drug trafficking will be eliminated at all costs. He has also appealed to the people to cooperate.
