Israel preparing for possible ground assault
Israel’s military has said it is preparing for a possible ground offensive in Gaza, but the country’s leaders have not made a decision in this regard. Lieutenant Colonel Richard Hecht told reporters that the army was preparing for ground action.
Israel has called in 360,000 reserve troops in response to deadly attacks by Hamas over the weekend.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said that Israel eliminate Hamas.
Netanyahu said that every member of Hamas should now be considered “dead”. He said this in his televised address late at night.
