Farmers to gherao DC offices in Punjab today against registration of cases for stubble burning
Punjab News: In Punjab and Haryana, 18 farmer organisations are preparing to surround the deputy commissioner’s offices of their respective districts today.
In fact, after the strictness of the Supreme Court and the National Green Tribunal, the state governments took strict steps against the cases of stubble burning of farmers. Angry over the fine being imposed and FIR registered, the farmers have appealed to the governments to withdraw the decision.
Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee leader Sarwan Singh Pandher has accused the Punjab government of presenting wrong perceptions before the Supreme Court and NGT towards the farmers. Such a thing was also put in front of the people, after which the image of the farmers has been tarnished. Everyone knows that the biggest cause of pollution is industry.
Sarwan Singh said that these are government figures. It has been clearly stated that the reason behind 51 percent pollution is industry. Despite this, farmers are being blamed for this.
