Dance party organised on Kartarpur Sahib in Pakistan, SGPC condemns

Punjab E News: The case of alleged violation of maryada in Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib in Pakistan is once again in the news. This time, the project management unit, one of the organisers, is alleging violation of the norms by holding a dance party and serving meat outside the PMU office adjacent to the gurdwara. Earlier, a Pakistani model had violated the dignity by shooting in the gurdwara campus.
Sikh organisations Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) and Delhi Committee have condemned the incident. Some videos have also gone viral on social media in this regard. These videos are being told last evening. In one of these videos, a woman is singing a song from the stage and some people are dancing in front of the stage.
Manjit Singh Bhoma, head of the Dharam Prachar Committee of the Delhi Committee, alleged that dances were performed on film songs at the event held outside the Piavio office near Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib. During this time, meat was also consumed. He termed the matter as a “mess” with the dignity of the Guru’s house. He has demanded the Pakistan government to take action in this regard.
Meanwhile, SGPC president Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami said that those managing the Guru Ghars should keep in mind the sentiments of maryada and sangat. No one should violate dignity. Such activities near the campus of the Gurdwaras are condemnable and need to be avoided.
