Is it wrong to seek answers from the government on the threat of Parliament security: Raghav Chadha
Aam Aadmi Party’s Rajya Sabha MP from Punjab, Raghav Chadha, justified the opposition’s move to raise the issue of security breach in Parliament on Saturday. He questioned the Modi government, asking whether the opposition’s demand for a discussion on security lapses was illegal. ‘If Parliament is not safe, is the country safe?’ he queried, raising a significant concern. ‘Our demand is that the House should be taken into confidence, and there should be a debate on it.’ Chadha emphasized that this isn’t a matter of partisanship; rather, the government should acknowledge this demand. “Seeking answers from the government is not a political move. If we don’t ask for answers from the government, who else will? The government has to be accountable.”
