MLA Shital Angural flags off bus under Mukh Mantri Teerth Yatra Scheme

Jalandhar: Jalandhar West MLA Shital Angural on Friday flagged off a Punjab roadways bus under the Mukh Mantri Teerth Yatra Scheme from Basti Danishmandan locality.

     The bus with 43 pilgrims on board will travel to Mata Naina Devi Ji, Sri Anandpur Sahib, Mata Jawala Ji, and Mata Chintapurni Ji. The bus will stay at Sri Anandpur Sahib today and will return on Saturday evening.

      While speaking on the occasion, MLA Angural said that the Punjab government had started this pilgrimage scheme to facilitate the people to visit the religious places free of cost on November 27 this year.

      He said that during the journey, all expenses related to food and accommodation was being borne by the Punjab government.

      Under the scheme, he said through trains and buses, the pilgrims were being ferried free of cost to Sri Amritsar Sahib, Sri Hazur Sahib, Sri Patna Sahib, Sri Anandpur Sahib, Mata Naina Devi Ji, Vrindavan Dham, Mata Vaishno Devi Ji, Mata Chintapurni Ji, Mata Jawala Ji, Varanasi, Sri Khatu Shyam Ji, Sri Salasar Balaji Dham, and Khwaja Ajmer Sharif Dargah.

      MLA said an amount of Rs 40 crore would be spent by the state government and added that the pilgrims going on this journey were also medically checked up and special pilgrimage bags containing necessary items were provided to the passengers.
