20-year-old Hoshiarpur youth dies in road accident in US

Chandigarh: A Punjabi man, identified as Varinder Singh (20), a resident of Tanda village Zahura in Hoshiarpur, has tragically died in a road accident in Indiana, USA.

Varinder, who was returning home from work on a bicycle, was hit by a car on the highway and succumbed to his injuries on the spot. He was the youngest in the family, with his elder brother residing in Portugal.

Varinder’s father passed away six years ago, and he had moved to the US 11 months ago spending about Rs 60 lakh.

The family is appealing to the central government to assist in bringing Varinder’s body back from US.
