Farmer dies of heart attack at Shambhu border

Chandigarh: A farmer died on Friday from a large convoy of farmers camping at Shambhu for four days as part of the call to march to Delhi. The deceased has been identified as 63-year-old Gyan Singh, a resident of Chachoke village in Gurdaspur district. According to the information, he had difficulty in breathing at 3.30 am today, after which he was taken to the Civil Hospital Rajpura, but due to lack of condition, he was soon referred to the Government Rajindra Hospital Patiala from there, but he died on arrival in Patiala.

Meanwhile, several others, including Sarwan Singh Pandher and Jagjit Singh Dallewal, who are leading the morcha, have expressed grief over the death of the farmer. According to preliminary information provided by the doctors of Government Rajindra Hospital Patiala, the farmer died due to a heart attack.
