Three new criminal laws to come into effect from July 1 in India

New Delhi: The newly enacted laws such as the Indian Penal Code, the Indian Code of Citizens Suraksha Samhita and the Indian Sakshya Act will come into force from July 1.

The laws were approved by Parliament on December 21 last year and approved by President Droupadi Murmu on December 25.

According to the three notifications issued by the Union Home Ministry, the provisions of the new laws will be implemented on July 1.
