Consumer court imposes Rs 4 lakh fine on PIMS Hospital in Jalandhar
Chandigarh: A consumer court has imposed a fine of Rs 4 lakh on a doctor of PIMS Medical and Educational Charitable Society in Jalandhar.
The patient’s lawyer has proved in the court that the doctors were lax in performing the patient’s hip transplant. Due to which the female patient had to face a lot of problems. The court has ordered to pay a fine including the money spent on the treatment.
According to documents submitted in court, the hip surgery on a 32-year-old woman was not performed accurately by doctors of the PIMS Medical and Education Charitable Society in Jalandhar.
When the woman did not get relief after the surgery went wrong, she admitted in PGI, Chandigarh for treatment where the doctors said that there was negligence in the treatment of the woman.
