Farmers to hold tractor march on August 15 in Punjab

Chandigarh: In response to a call by the non-political Samyuktkisan Morcha, the Bharatiya Kisan Union Sidhupur and the Bharatiya Kisan Union Azad will hold a tractor march in the villages of the state.

During a block-level meeting held today at a gurdwara in a nearby village, the union’s district president, Surjit Singh Fatehgarh Bhadson, along with block presidents Karnail Singh Kakra, Baljit Singh Jolian, Kashmir Singh Kakra, and Azad Sangathan leaders Balwinder Singh Lakhewal and Kuldeep Singh Munshiwala, said that the central government has refused to implement the demands agreed upon during the Delhi Kisan Morcha.

They announced that after the tractor march in the villages on August 15, organized in protest against the central government’s dictatorial attitude, an effigy representing the black laws will be burned in front of the SDM Bhawanigarh office.
