Trudeau government to cut number of foreign workers
Toronto: Canada Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has decided to reduce the number of foreign workers. For this, they have amended their Temporary Foreign Worker Program (TFWP). Under this, the number of foreigners doing low wage and temporary jobs in Canada will now be reduced to 5 percent of the total population.
The biggest impact of this will be on foreign students doing small jobs while studying in Canada.
Among them, the number of Indian students is the highest. These students also do jobs outside their studies to withstand the inflation of the Canada.
Experts have also warned that this decision of Trudeau’s government will increase unemployment among immigrants and youth. The TFWP amendment will come into effect from September 26.
