Actor Govinda discharged from hospital

Mumbai: Actor Govinda was discharged from the hospital today. The actor was admitted to the hospital three days ago after he was shot in the leg due to a pistol.

The actor only said that ‘Woh (pistol) giri aur chal padi.’ The incident took place in the early hours of Tuesday when the actor was leaving for the airport. Govinda underwent surgery the same day.

The actor came out of The Criticare Hospital in Juhu on a wheelchair. His wife Sunita Ahuja and daughter Tina Ahuja were also present on the occasion.

Talking to reporters outside his house, Govinda said, “I was leaving home for a show in Kolkata. It was five o’clock in the morning and then she fell and left. I wondered what had happened. When I looked down, I saw blood flowing. Then I made a video and talked to the doctor and got admitted to the hospital.”

According to Sunita Ahuja, doctors have advised the actor six weeks of rest.
