Union Minister assures farmers on paddy procurement

New Delhi: Union Minister Pralhad Joshi has assured Punjab farmers that the Centre will procure every grain of paddy and urged them to disregard circulating rumours.

“The Centre will purchase all paddy and ensure timely payment,” Joshi stated to the state’s farmers.

Contrary to claims about a storage shortage, the minister clarified that the Centre has sufficient space for paddy storage and is expanding capacity.

He said that misinformation is being spread, though it’s unclear who is responsible.
