Three arrested in Bathinda petrol bomb attack
Chandigarh: Bathinda police have arrested three individuals in connection with a petrol bomb attack and arson that destroyed over half a dozen houses in Dan Singh Wala village on Thursday night.
The arrested accused, identified as Resham Singh and Ranjit Singh of Dan Singh Wala, and Khushpreet Singh of Mahima Sarja, are currently in police remand for interrogation.
Authorities are continuing their search for other suspects involved in the incident.
The case was registered at Nehianwala police station based on a complaint filed by Jaspreet Singh, a resident of Kothe Jeevan Singh Wala.
According to the FIR, 20-25 unidentified individuals, including Raminder Singh, Dharampreet Singh, Lovepreet Singh, Satpal Singh, Jeevan Singh, Happy Singh, and Resham Singh, have been named as accused.
The attack left several families devastated, with household belongings reduced to ashes. Inspector Jaswinder Kaur, in charge of Nehianwala police station, stated that special teams have been formed to apprehend the remaining suspects, and raids are ongoing.
The police have assured a thorough investigation into the matter.
