12 killed, several injured as Karnataka Express runs over passengers in Jalgaon district

Mumbai: At least 12 passengers were killed and several others critically injured in a tragic railway accident in Maharashtra’s Jalgaon district on Wednesday.

The incident occurred when the Karnataka Express train ran over passengers who had alighted from the Lucknow-Mumbai Pushpak Express following rumors of a fire.

The accident took place between Maheji and Pardhade railway stations near Pachora, approximately 400 km from Mumbai.
