Punjab Government organizes State-Level event in Jalandhar to mark 648th Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji

Punjab News:  Punjab Government today organized a state-level event in Jalandhar to commemorate the 648th Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji. Punjab’s Minister for Defence Welfare and Horticulture Mohinder Bhagat joined the event as a special guest and emphasized the need to adopt the teachings of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji for the creation of an ideal society.  

Addressing the gathering, the Cabinet Minister stated that Sri Guru Ravidas Ji’s life and philosophy serve as a guiding light for the entire humanity. He urged people to take inspiration from Guru Ji’s teachings and strive tirelessly toward building an egalitarian society. He highlighted that Sri Guru Ravidas Ji’s message of compassion, love, and brotherhood provided new direction to society, encouraging everyone to work for the welfare of humanity.  

While extending greetings on the Prakash Purab, Mr. Bhagat announced on behalf of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, a grant of Rs. 25 lakh for Sri Guru Ravidas Charitable Trust. He also assured full support from the state government for future projects and encouraged the management to submit proposals for upcoming initiatives.  

The Minister reiterated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab Government is committed to the welfare of all sections of society while following the path shown by Sri Guru Ravidas Ji. He further emphasized that the teachings of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji and the ideals of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar will continue to guide Punjab towards a progressive and prosperous future. On this occasion, he also urged people to spread the teachings of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji on a large scale.  

Later, the office bearers of Sri Guru Ravidas Charitable Trust honored Cabinet Minister Mahinder Bhagat for his participation. Prominent attendees at the event included Deputy Commissioner Dr. Himanshu Agarwal, Mayor Vineet Dhir, Senior AAP Leader Deepak Bali, Rajwinder Kaur Thiara, District President (Jalandhar Rural) Stephen Kaler, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Gautam Jain, Additional Deputy Commissioner Jasbir Singh, SDM Balbir Raj Singh, SP Sarbjit Rai, Trust Chairman Satpal Seth Mal, General Secretary Vinod Kaul besides a large number of devotees.
