Punjabi music producer arrested for cheating, forgery involving singer Sunanda Sharma
Chandigarh: Mohali police have arrested Pushpinder Singh Pinki Dhaliwal, a producer in the Punjabi music industry, on charges of cheating, forgery, and criminal intimidation. The arrest follows a complaint by Punjabi singer and actress Sunanda Sharma (33), who alleged financial and personal exploitation.
According to Sharma, Dhaliwal failed to pay her despite earning Rs 250 crore over several years. She also accused him of exploiting her, under the pretext of arranging her marriage with his son Gurkaran Dhaliwal.
Dhaliwal was arrested from Sector 70, Mohali, and presented before the duty magistrate, who remanded him to police custody for two days, said Kulwant Singh, Station House Officer of Mataur police station.
As he was escorted out of the police station, Dhaliwal remained silent when questioned by the media.
