25-year-old stops 3 men from applying Holi colors, strangulated to death in Rajasthan
New Delhi: A 25-year-old man was allegedly strangled to death by three men after he refused to let them apply Holi colors on him in Rajasthan’s Dausa district, police said on Wednesday.
The accused, identified as Ashok, Bablu, and Kaluram, had gone to a local library where the victim, Hansraj, was preparing for competitive exams. When Hansraj declined to get colored, the trio allegedly attacked him with kicks, punches, and belts before strangling him to death, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Dinesh Agarwal said.
Following the incident, Hansraj’s family and villagers staged a protest with his body and blocked the national highway, creating tension in the area.
The incident, which occurred during the Holi festival, has sparked outrage. Authorities are investigating the case, and the accused are expected to face legal proceedings.
