PM Modi to visit Saudi Arabia next week to boost ties in energy, trade and defence

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will embark on a two-day official visit to Saudi Arabia starting Tuesday, with the focus on enhancing bilateral cooperation in key areas such as energy, trade, and defence.

During the visit, Modi is scheduled to hold talks with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud. Several agreements are expected to be signed following the discussions, aimed at deepening strategic ties between the two nations.

Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, while briefing the media, said the visit would offer an opportunity to further strengthen the already significant partnership between India and Saudi Arabia.

He said that special emphasis would be placed on advancing energy cooperation between the two countries.
