Punjab CM calls high-level meeting on state security after Pahalgam terror attack

Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has called a high-level meeting to review and strengthen the state’s security in the wake of the recent terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam.

The meeting is scheduled for 11 am today at the chief minister’s official residence in Chandigarh.

Senior officials from the Punjab Police and civil administration will attend the meeting, where strategies to enhance state security will be discussed.

Given Punjab’s status as a border state that shares boundaries with both Pakistan and Jammu and Kashmir, the government remains on high alert.

Officials said the chief minister has been in constant touch with law enforcement agencies to monitor the situation and ensure preparedness in the face of any potential threats.
