Eight injured as minibus collides with truck on KGP Expressway in Faridabad
Jalandhar: Eight people were injured after a minibus collided with a truck on the Kundli-Ghaziabad-Palwal (KGP) Expressway in Faridabad in the early hours of Wednesday.
The accident occurred around 3 am when the bus, travelling from Jalandhar to Mathura-Vrindavan in Punjab, rammed into a truck near Chhaysa area.
According to police sources, the collision is suspected to have occurred after the truck driver allegedly dozed off at the wheel. The minibus was carrying 18 passengers, including several women.
Police officials reached the spot soon after receiving information and rescued the injured from the vehicle. All eight injured were rushed to the government hospital in Ballabhgarh, where they are currently undergoing treatment.
