Adani case should be probed by Parliamentary Committee or Supreme Court: Opposition

New Delhi: Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha and Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge today demanded a discussion in both houses of Parliament on the Adani Enterprises case as well as setting up of a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) to probe the matter, or it should be probed under the supervision of the Supreme Court.

“We want to say why the government is giving loans to such companies under pressure,” Kharge told reporters after the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha sittings were adjourned.
“Our demand is that either it should be investigated by forming a JPC or it should be investigated under the leadership of the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.”
There has to be transparency and people should believe that their money is left. After this, the report should be made public so that the country knows what the truth is, he said.
