Ludhiana: Punjab Congress in-charge Bhupesh Baghel on Wednesday urged party workers to set aside their differences and work together to ensure the Congress returns to power in the upcoming Punjab Assembly elections.
Addressing a meeting organised by the District Congress Committee at Thapar Nursing Home in Ludhiana, Baghel said the Congress is a disciplined party and that leaders and workers should express their views while adhering to party discipline.
He said he was travelling across Punjab with a message from the Congress high command and had witnessed enthusiasm among party workers regarding the forthcoming Assembly elections. Baghel added that the party was strengthening its organisation at every polling booth across the state.
He also assured workers that any grievances or differences among leaders and party members would be addressed and that everyone would be taken along.
Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, who also addressed the meeting, dismissed reports of factionalism within the party. He asserted that the Congress remained united both in the district and across the state.
Warring said any disagreements within the party would be resolved through dialogue and reiterated that no one would be allowed to violate party discipline.
