Chandigarh: The Panjab University Campus Students’ Council (PUCSC) elections will be held on August 31, with the university releasing the detailed election schedule.
According to the schedule, candidates can file their nomination papers on August 24 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. Scrutiny of nominations will begin at 10:35 am, while the list of candidates will be displayed on the concerned department’s notice board at noon.
Objections to the nominations can be filed between 12:30 pm and 1:30 pm, with the provisional list and objections to be submitted to the Dean Student Welfare (DSW) office by 2:30 pm.
Final candidate list on August 25
The list of approved candidates will be released at 10 am on August 25. Candidates will then be allowed to withdraw their nominations between 10:30 am and noon.
The final list of candidates contesting the elections will be released at 2:30 pm at the DSW office.
Voting on August 31
Voting will begin at 9:30 am on August 31, while counting of votes will start from 12:30 pm.
The results of the departmental representative elections will be sent to the DSW office on September 8. The election of the executive will subsequently be held on September 11.
