Mohali: The Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) two-day search and inspection operation at the Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA) office ended on Thursday morning.
Amid a protest by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) workers, a police team escorted the ED officials safely from the GMADA office up to the Chandigarh border.
According to sources, the ED teams took away more than 30 bags of seized documents, along with hard drives containing scanned documents. Sources said the central agency had collected substantial material for further action.
Sources also said that no GMADA official was detained during the operation. Senior officials, including Housing and Urban Development Secretary Vikas Garg, have returned to work.
The ED may issue summons to officials in the coming days and call them for questioning based on the documents seized during the searches, sources said.
