Chandigarh News (Harpreet Singh): Dismissed Punjab Police Assistant Inspector General (AIG) Rajjit Singh has been arrested after remaining on the run for nearly six years, according to information available from police sources.
Rajjit Singh, who had reportedly been absconding since October 2019, surrendered before the Patiala Police, following which he was taken into custody.
The former police officer has been named in cases related to alleged drug trafficking and extortion. He was also booked in a disproportionate assets case in 2019.
