Chandigarh News (Harpreet Singh): The Punjab Government has taken strict action against Inspector Sunita Rani in connection with allegations of corruption, reaffirming its stated zero-tolerance policy towards corrupt practices.
Inspector Sunita Rani has been dismissed from service with immediate effect following allegations that she demanded and accepted a ₹50,000 bribe.
The dismissal orders were issued by IGP Faridkot Range Neelambari Jagdale. The action comes as part of the department’s efforts to maintain accountability and ensure strict action against alleged corruption within the police force.
The development highlights the Punjab Government’s stated commitment to taking stringent action against officials facing corruption allegations.
