Amritsar: A social media post has claimed responsibility for the killing of social media influencer and makeup artist Mad Sandhu, naming Goldy Dhillon and Jagga Tarn Taran. However, the authenticity of the post and the claim have not yet been officially confirmed by the police.
The post claims that Goldy Dhillon and Jagga Tarn Taran were taking responsibility for Mad Sandhu’s killing in Ranjit Avenue. It also contains comments concerning the younger generation.
A video purportedly recorded shortly after the attack has also surfaced, showing Mad Sandhu lying injured and covered in blood on the road.
The possibility of an old rivalry is also being examined. Around three months ago, Mad Sandhu was reportedly involved in a dispute with a Nihang Singh, who had objected to his attire, social media activities and old videos and had warned him to stay away from such activities. Sandhu had then said that he would not engage in such activities. His old videos were subsequently circulated again, triggering controversy.
Mad Sandhu was known on Punjabi social media as an influencer and makeup artist. His Instagram account, @its_madsandhuofficial, describes him as a makeup artist, entrepreneur, artist and influencer. He was also identified as the founder of Manelane Unisex Salon and had more than 2.2 lakh Instagram followers.
He had also appeared on podcasts, including one in 2024 and another episode released in 2026. In July 2026, controversy surrounding his social media activities and the circulation of his older videos had also attracted attention.
Police are investigating the murder and the circumstances surrounding the attack.
