Mumbai: Gunshots were reportedly fired near Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff in Mumbai’s Juhu area on Sunday evening, leaving his driver and an auto-rickshaw driver injured. Shroff was reported to be safe.
According to preliminary information, unidentified men riding a motorcycle opened fire in the area. Police have launched an investigation to identify the suspects, establish the motive behind the shooting and trace their escape route.
Claims have also emerged that the Lawrence Bishnoi gang has taken responsibility for the incident. However, the claim has not been independently verified, and the motive behind the shooting remains unclear.
The incident comes months after a shooting was reported outside filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s residence in Juhu in February. A social media account linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang had reportedly claimed responsibility for that incident. However, no confirmed evidence has established a connection between the two cases.
Police are investigating the latest shooting, and further details about those involved and the circumstances surrounding the incident are awaited.
