Patiala: Senior Akali leader and former MP Prem Singh Chandumajra is set to rejoin the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) on Thursday, days after parting ways with the Shiromani Akali Dal (Punar Surjit).
SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal is expected to visit Chandumajra’s residence in Patiala to formally induct him into the party. Other senior SAD leaders are also likely to accompany Badal for the joining ceremony.
Chandumajra resigned from SAD (Punar Surjit) on Wednesday, citing differences with party chief Giani Harpreet Singh over ideology, approach and working style.
