Situation under control in Punjab: CM Mann
Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has said that the law and order situation in the state is under control after a clash broke out between supporters of ‘Waris Punjab De’ chief Amritpal Singh and the Punjab Police in Ajnala.
Speaking to reporters at former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s residence ‘Matoshree’ in Mumbai, Mann was evading questions on the Ajnala violence. On being insisted by reporters, he said, “You have wrong information. Law and order in Punjab is under control and Punjab Police is capable. Ours is a peaceful state. Large industries have started investing there.”
