Chandigarh BJP office blast: Two more arrested, total accused reach seven

Chandigarh: Punjab Police has arrested two more accused in the Chandigarh Sector-37 Punjab BJP headquarters blast case, taking the total number of arrests to seven.

The latest arrests include Amanpreet Singh from Rattangarh Morinda and Gurtej Singh. According to police, Amanpreet allegedly threw the grenade, while Gurtej recorded the video of the attack. A pistol has also been recovered from their possession.

Earlier, five accused — Balwinder Lal alias Shammi, Jasvir Singh alias Jassi, Charanjit Singh alias Channi, Rubal Chauhan and Mandeep alias Abhijot Sharma — had already been arrested in the case.

Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav said the investigation has revealed international links, with handlers based in Portugal and Germany identified as part of the conspiracy. He added that Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI was behind the attempt to create unrest in Punjab.

According to initial findings, the accused were part of an organised network with clearly defined roles at different levels. The module was allegedly being operated by foreign-based handlers coordinating the attack.

Police also recovered a consignment of hand grenades, weapons and ammunition, which was routed through multiple operatives before reaching the attackers. The probe has revealed that the entire conspiracy was executed on the instructions of a Portugal-based handler, identified as Baljot Singh alias Jot.

Further investigation is underway to trace the full network and identify other individuals involved in the case.

Raghav Chadha releases third video, rebuts AAP claims over Punjab issues

New Delhi: AAP Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha on Sunday released a third video targeting his own party, intensifying the ongoing public rift. In the video, he responded to multiple allegations and rejected claims that he failed to raise Punjab-related issues in Parliament.

Sharing the video with the caption “Picture abhi baaki hai”, Chadha dismissed the party’s accusations and posted a compilation of his speeches in the Rajya Sabha. The clips show him raising concerns related to Punjab, including the water crisis, legal guarantee for MSP for farmers, and demands for new corridors to visit historical gurdwaras in Pakistan.

In a strong message accompanying the video, Chadha said, “For those in AAP who were made to say that I do not raise Punjab’s issues in Parliament, this is just a trailer… the picture is still left.” He added, “Punjab is not just a topic of discussion for me. It is my home, my duty, my soil and my soul.”

The latest video comes amid an escalating war of words between Chadha and the Aam Aadmi Party after he was removed from the post of deputy leader in the Rajya Sabha.

The public exchange of statements has exposed growing tensions within the party, with both sides continuing to defend their positions as the political standoff deepens.

Residents protest eviction notices in Phillaur, hundreds join dharna

Jalandhar: Hundreds of residents and members of various organisations staged a protest on Saturday in Phillaur’s Mata Kaulan Nagar after receiving notices to vacate their homes and shops, triggering widespread anger in the area.

The residents, many of whom have been living and running businesses there for nearly 40 years, were asked to vacate their premises within 48 hours. The notices, issued three days ago with police support, have created panic among locals.

According to reports, around 200 houses and 200–250 shops — totalling nearly 300 to 400 structures — have been served eviction notices. The land is reportedly owned by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), which has sought administrative assistance to clear alleged encroachments.

The issue has also sparked a political row, with leaders from different parties reaching the spot. Congress MLA from Phillaur, Vikramjit Singh Chaudhary, said the settlement was established during his father’s tenure and assured that residents would not be displaced. He added that he has spoken to the SDM to extend the deadline and will meet Union Minister Nitin Gadkari in Delhi to seek a resolution.

BJP leader Avinash Chander also opposed the move, stating that thousands of poor families living in the area should not be uprooted without dialogue. He claimed that similar action had been halted earlier and demanded that the issue be reconsidered at the central level.

Meanwhile, Phillaur SDM Deepak Bhatia clarified that the administration had only issued verbal directions on NHAI’s request, while written notices had already been served by the authority earlier. He said no forced eviction has been initiated, considering the long settlement and lack of alternative housing for residents.

Officials added that a meeting between residents and NHAI authorities is being arranged, and further action will be taken as per legal procedures.

The colony is located around 100 feet from the Phillaur flyover, with a railway track on one side and NHAI land on the other, making it a critical zone for infrastructure development.

  • PRTC members and Transport workers brought under healthcare safety net as Bhagwant Mann Govt expands Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna reach across Punjab

PRTC members and Transport workers brought under healthcare safety net as Bhagwant Mann Govt expands Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna reach across Punjab

With this coverage, workers and their families can access care without hesitation: Dr. Balbir Singh

Patiala News (4th April 2026): A two-day Sehat Camp organised at the PRTC Head Office in Patiala on April 1 and 2 brought Punjab’s transport workforce directly under the ambit of the Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna (MMSY), with the Bhagwant Mann Government stepping in to bridge a long-standing gap in healthcare access for one of the state’s most mobile and underserved working communities.

Bus drivers, autorickshaw operators, taxi workers and their families were enrolled on the spot, ensuring that those who keep Punjab moving are no longer left behind in accessing timely and affordable healthcare.

Over the two days, several individuals were enrolled, including PRTC members and their families, with Sehat Cards issued immediately. Each card enables cashless healthcare coverage of up to ₹10 lakh per family per year, offering critical financial protection to workers who often delay treatment due to irregular incomes, long working hours and the physical strain of their profession.

Minister of Health and Family Welfare Dr. Balbir Singh said, “Bringing transport workers under CM Bhagwant Singh Mann’s Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna is an important step, as they are constantly on the move and often delay treatment. With this coverage, they and their families can now access care without hesitation, knowing that the system will support them when needed.”

PRTC Chairman Harpal Juneja stated, “Our transport workers play a critical role in keeping Punjab connected. Ensuring their health security is equally important. This camp simplifies access and allows them and their families to come under coverage without disrupting their work.”

AAP Punjab General Secretary and Media In-charge Baltej Pannu noted that the strong participation reflected growing confidence in the scheme among transport workers. He said, “They are coming forward because they can see the impact in their own lives, not in government data but on the road, in their families. For workers who have spent years without reliable health cover, that assurance changes things. It reflects a growing trust in the Bhagwant Singh Mann Government’s commitment to making healthcare genuinely accessible.”

In a notable instance during the camp, Mahinder Singh, a visually impaired 63-year-old senior citizen and former PRTC worker, was enrolled under the scheme, highlighting how the on-ground model is reaching individuals who face the greatest barriers in accessing government services independently.

The inclusion of transport workers marks a significant expansion of the scheme’s outreach, bringing both organised and semi-organised workforce groups under comprehensive health coverage.

The initiative builds on the rapidly expanding scale of the Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna across Punjab. So far, over 30 lakh Sehat Cards have been issued, with more than 50,000 residents enrolling daily across districts. The Punjab Government has further strengthened the programme with a ₹2,000 crore allocation in the 2026–27 Budget to enhance its reach and capacity.

The Bhagwant Mann Government continues to encourage residents to enrol for Sehat Cards through designated centres and on-ground camps to avail cashless treatment benefits under the Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna.

Chandigarh Grenade Attack Case Solved; Five Arrested with Hand Grenade and Zigana Pistol

Chandigarh News (April 4): Amidst the ongoing drive to make Punjab a safe and secure state as per directions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, Counter Intelligence wing of Punjab Police, in a joint operation with Chandigarh Police, has successfully solved the Chandigarh grenade attack case with the arrest of five accused involved in the incident and recovered one hand grenade and one .30 bore Zigana pistol along ammunition from their possession, said Director General of Police (DGP) Punjab Gaurav Yadav here on Saturday.

DGP Gaurav Yadav said that preliminary investigations have revealed that the module was backed by Pakistan’s ISI and operated under the directions of foreign-based handlers located in Portugal and Germany. The accused persons were part of a structured network involving multiple cutouts and sub-modules to execute the attack, he said.

The DGP said that two key perpetrators involved in the attack have also been identified. Further investigations are ongoing to establish forward and backward linkages in this case, he added.

As per the information, a grenade attack was carried out outside the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) office at Sector 37 in Chandigarh on Wednesday.

Sharing more details, AIG State Special Operations Cell (SSOC) SAS Nagar Deepak Pareek said that the investigation has further revealed that the arrested accused had transported a consignment containing hand grenades, arms and live cartridges. The consignment was circulated through multiple operatives before being handed over to the final perpetrators, he said.

The AIG said that acting on the directions of Portugal-based handler, the arrested accused persons coordinated the delivery and execution of the attack. Police teams are conducting raids to apprehend the absconding perpetrators involved in the attack, he added.

In this regard, a case FIR No. 4 dated 03/04/26 has been registered under section 25(1) (B) of the Arms act and section 61(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at Police Station SSOC SAS Nagar.

Setting a clear direction for transformation, the Chief Minister announced that the institute will be developed into a world-class healthcare centre, with the introduction of advanced facilities including robotic surgery and immediate steps to strengthen staffing, aimed at significantly enhancing patient care across the Malwa region.

During a surprise visit to the hospital, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann reviewed the functioning of the institute and interacted with key stakeholders to assess ground realities and identify areas requiring immediate attention. “The purpose of the visit is to support and strengthen the institution rather than to find faults, with the broader objective of transforming it into a premier healthcare centre for the entire state,” he asserted.

The Chief Minister affirmed, “The Advanced Cancer Institute at Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS) will be equipped with world-class facilities. The hospital is already imparting quality healthcare services to patients in the core Malwa region, and our effort is to further strengthen it into a premier healthcare centre across Punjab.”

Highlighting the need for continuous upgradation, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann stated, “The motive of the visit is not of fault finding but of hand holding to develop this institute as a premier healthcare centre across the state. During the visit, I interacted with all key stakeholders to apprise myself of the ground realities and the needs of this advanced institute.”

Focusing on improving patient outcomes, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann announced that several need-based facilities will be introduced in the institute. “Concerted efforts will be made to further ensure the well-being of patients by introducing several need-based facilities. Robotic surgery will also be introduced in this apex hospital so as to benefit patients in a big way,” he said.

Underscoring the urgency of modernising treatment methods, he added, “Necessary steps will be taken for introducing robotic surgery in this hospital at the earliest, and no stone will be left unturned for this.”

Addressing staffing concerns, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann noted that the hospital currently faces a shortage of personnel and assured prompt action. “I have come to know that there is a shortage of staff in the hospital, so necessary steps will be taken for pumping in more manpower in the larger public interest,” he said.

Reaffirming the Punjab Government’s commitment to accessible healthcare, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “Ayushman card holders and beneficiaries of the Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna are entitled for treatment in this apex cancer care hospital. The Punjab Government is committed to providing quality healthcare services to all people of the state.”

  • AAP Leaders Slam Raghav Chadha for Ignoring Punjab’s Core Issues in Parliament

AAP Leaders Slam Raghav Chadha for Ignoring Punjab’s Core Issues in Parliament

Raghav Chadha failed to raise even single key issue of Punjab in Parliament: Harpal Singh Cheema

Punjab E News (4 April 2026): Senior leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) including Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema, AAP Punjab President Aman Arora, and AAP Punjab Chief Spokesperson Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal on Saturday launched a sharp attack on Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha over the failure to raise Punjab’s key issues in Parliament.

They highlighted that critical matters, including ₹8,500 crore RDF dues, ₹60,000 crore GST losses, and ₹1,600 crore flood relief, were not taken up, despite repeated communication. Calling the silence a betrayal of Punjab’s people and mandate, the leaders said the failure to raise farmers’ concerns and flood victims’ plight reflects a complete disconnect from ground realities.

Raising concerns over parliamentary representation, Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema stated, “Raghav Chadha was elected to the Rajya Sabha by Punjab’s MLAs with the expectation that he would strongly represent the state’s concerns at the national level. However, he completely avoided raising even a single sensitive issue related to Punjab.”

Listing key financial issues, Harpal Singh Cheema said, “He failed to raise several critical matters, including the pending Rural Development Fund (RDF) amount of nearly ₹8,500 crore, massive GST-related losses to Punjab amounting to around ₹60,000 crore since its implementation, and additional financial setbacks of ₹5,000–6,000 crore due to changes in GST compensation. Funds under the National Health Mission were also not adequately addressed.”

Referring to flood relief, he added, “Despite the Prime Minister’s announcement of ₹1,600 crore in relief for Punjab after the devastating floods, not even a fraction of that amount has reached Punjab’s treasury. All these issues were repeatedly conveyed to Raghav Chadha, yet he did not raise even one of them in Parliament.”

Expressing disappointment, the Punjab cabinet minister said, “We sent him to the Rajya Sabha with hope, but he did not speak even once before the Prime Minister on these issues. This clearly shows a compromise. Aam Aadmi Party is a party that gives opportunities to common people, but remaining silent on such crucial issues is a betrayal of Punjab and its people.”

Meanwhile, AAP Punjab President Aman Arora stated, “Raghav Chadha must remember the role played by Arvind Kejriwal and the party in elevating him politically. Instead of focusing on Punjab’s pressing issues such as pending RDF funds and flood relief, he chose to raise unrelated matters, which has been noticed by the entire country.”

Reiterating party principles, he emphasised, “Aam Aadmi Party was founded on the principle of fighting for people’s rights without fear, and any deviation from that path is unexpected and unacceptable. Raghav Chadha should introspect and remember the party’s core mission of standing up against injustice and advocating for people’s rights.”

On the other hand, AAP spokesperson and MLA Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal stated, “There is deep disappointment over Raghav Chadha’s silence on the plight of flood-affected people in Punjab. Party leaders and affected residents repeatedly urged him to raise the issue of compensation in Parliament, especially the ₹1,600 crore relief announced by the Prime Minister, which has still not been delivered.”

Standing in a flood-affected village, he added, “It is clear that people suffered massive losses to homes, crops, and infrastructure, yet their voice was never raised at the national level. We expected him to strongly demand justice and relief for Punjab’s flood victims, but his silence has been a huge disappointment. The people of Punjab will not forget this neglect.”

The AAP leaders collectively asserted that Punjab’s issues must be forcefully raised at every platform, and any failure to do so amounts to a betrayal of the mandate given by the people and AAP.

  • Development Push Continues Under CM Bhagwant Singh Mann in Punjab; Projects Worth Crores Inaugurated in Moga

Development Push Continues Under CM Bhagwant Singh Mann in Punjab; Projects Worth Crores Inaugurated in Moga

Roads under Moga Municipal Corporation will be upgraded at cost of ₹7.58 crore; Moga–Kotkapura, Moga–Khosa Pando & Zira road will also be developed into high-quality routes: CM Bhagwant Singh Mann

Moga (4 April 2026): Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Saturday reaffirmed the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)-led Punjab Government’s development push, inaugurating and laying the foundation stone of projects worth several crores in Moga, even as he outlined a governance model centred on infrastructure expansion, farmer security, and administrative reform.

At a state-level event, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said the overwhelming public participation reflected growing trust in honest and clean politics, asserting that from upgrading over 47 km of key road networks and strengthening urban infrastructure to launching power projects worth ₹18.80 crore and rolling out the Takseem campaign from April 13, the government is delivering tangible change on the ground.

He emphasised that the AAP Government is committed to procuring every grain of farmers’ wheat, ensuring no producer is left at the mercy of arhtiyas, while steadily advancing towards making Punjab a frontrunner state in the country through a development model that connects every village and city.

    CM bhagwant mann

Addressing a gathering after laying the foundation stone of several development projects in Moga, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann asserted that the traditional parties have repeatedly betrayed the people of Punjab. “People of Punjab can never forgive Akalis as they have not only ruined Punjab and its people but have also disrespected the Guru and Gurbani,” he said.

He added, “Akalis have conducted genocide of the generations of Punjab by promoting and patronising drug trade. These leaders not only patronized the drug trade but, according to reports, even used official vehicles to sell or distribute drugs.”

    CM Mann Rally in moga

CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “Akali leader Sukhbir Badal claims that all development of the state has taken place during their regime, but they keep a blind eye towards the sacrilege incidents of Bargari and Behbal Kalan. They have bruised the psyche of every common man by using religion for their vested interests, which is an unpardonable sin. They are hand in glove with forces inimical to the Panth and Punjab.”

Taking a dig at the Akali Dal’s so-called “Punjab Bachao Yatra”, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “The real name of this gimmick of Akali Dal is ‘Parivar Bachao Yatra’. After looting the state for 15 years, from whom are they trying to save Punjab?” He added, “People elected Akalis but they proved to be traitors and always backstabbed the state and its people. When the farming community was fighting for its rights, the Akalis supported the Modi government on draconian farm laws just to save their berth in the Union Ministry.”

CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “Akali-BJP and Congress governments have destroyed several generations of the state. These anti-Punjab forces are hand in glove with each other and leave no stone unturned to harm the interests of the state. Ironically, these leaders remain silent against the Centre and Narendra Modi, who are ruining Punjab.”

He added, “These leaders leave no stone unturned to speak against me because they are envious of the progress of Punjab. People must unite and teach them a lesson by routing them out of the state. Sukhbir Badal, Raja Warring, Pratap Singh Bajwa and others are alien to Punjab as they have nothing in common with the people.”

CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “From their schooling to wardrobe and habits, nothing matches with common Punjabis. These leaders are unaware of the problems faced by the people as they have scant knowledge of Punjab. They have never even visited the fields and are unaware of the hardships faced by farmers.”

He added, “People voted massively for these traditional parties, but previous governments looted Punjab. These leaders drained resources like parasites and even today they have no agenda except hunger for power. They compete with each other in abusing me and sending videos to their high command.”

CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “These leaders have no vision for Punjab and are driven by personal ambitions, whereas our government is making strenuous efforts to make Punjab a frontrunner state. The day is not far when Punjab will become the number one state in the country.”

    CM Mann Rally in moga

Highlighting achievements of the government, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann asserted, “We have taken path-breaking initiatives for holistic development of Punjab. We have fulfilled all promises made to the people. The government is providing 600 units of free electricity to every household without discrimination.”

He added, “Since our government assumed charge, 90% households are getting zero electricity bills. For the first time in Punjab’s history, farmers are getting eight hours uninterrupted daytime electricity for irrigation. The government has spent ₹6500 crore on rejuvenating canal systems, and for the first time, 1365 villages are getting canal water.”

CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “Earlier only 21% canal water was used for irrigation, which has now increased to 68% and will reach 85% by the coming paddy season. As many as 6900 km long, 18349 water courses have been revived to ensure water reaches tail ends, benefitting farmers immensely.”

He added, “Those leaders at whose residences canals used to stop never bothered about this. Such decisions can only be taken by leaders who understand ground realities, not those who studied in convent schools in hills.”

On employment, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “We have launched a Rozgar Kranti by providing more than 65,000 government jobs purely on merit, without recommendation or bribe. Record private investments have created more than 7 lakh employment opportunities in the last four years.”

He further said, “Punjab has 43,000 km of link roads and we have launched a major project for their repair and upgradation, along with maintenance for the next five years. The government is also exploring putting high tension wires underground to facilitate farmers.”

CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “This will provide relief to farmers as high tension wires pose a huge risk to them and their crops. The scheme will begin from my native village, where work will start soon.”

Announcing welfare initiatives, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “A new Takseem scheme will ensure division of land within 30 days and will be implemented across Punjab from April 13, 2026. People should resolve disputes through mutual understanding.”

He appealed, “People should enroll for ₹10 lakh cashless treatment under Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna. This scheme provides free treatment in government and private empanelled hospitals.”

CM Bhagwant Singh Mann added, “Under Mawan Dheeyan Satkar Yojna, ₹1500 per month is being provided to women from Scheduled Caste categories, while ₹1000 per month is being provided to women from all other categories. This will help households and ensure dignity for women.

He said, “Taxpayers’ money belongs to the people and is being spent on development, schools, hospitals and roads. Earlier it was lost to corruption, but now leakages have been plugged.”

Emphasising education, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “Quality education is the panacea for poverty. No freebie can eliminate poverty, but education can open doors of progress and prosperity. We are leaving no stone unturned to improve education.”

He added, “While we talk about education, health, power and agriculture, other parties only talk about grabbing power. People have rejected these opportunist leaders who only work for their families.”

On wheat procurement, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “Aarthiyas are trying to pressure the government, but we will not succumb. The government will increase procurement quota of cooperative societies to ensure smooth procurement.”

Meanwhile, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann laid the foundation stone of several development projects in Moga including electricity projects, municipal road renovation and upgradation of major roads. He reiterated the commitment of the Punjab Government to build a rangla and vibrant Punjab.

Earlier, AAP Punjab Prabhari Manish Sisodia said, “Bhagwant Singh Mann is the most popular Chief Minister in the country. The government has taken path-breaking initiatives for every section of society. If any other party comes to power, they will stop these welfare schemes as seen in Delhi.”

*Bhagwant Mann Govt’s Transformational Development Driving towards Rangla Punjab*

The scale of infrastructure works underway in Moga underscores a decisive and execution-driven governance model, with major investments being channelled into roads, urban infrastructure, and power systems. The 47.70 km long Moga–Baghapurana–Kotkapura road is being upgraded at a cost of ₹46.98 crore, including ₹43.79 crore for construction and ₹3.18 crore for maintenance, while the 22.72 km Moga–Dharamkot road is being renovated at a cost of ₹9.98 crore, strengthening connectivity across key towns and villages.

Urban development works worth ₹88.62 crore are being executed by the Municipal Corporation, with an additional ₹11.60 crore worth of tenders in the pipeline. These include ₹7.58 crore for redevelopment of main roads, ₹7.66 crore for other roads, ₹4.16 crore for a multi-storey community hall, ₹2.19 crore for a street vending zone at Old Dana Mandi, and ₹97 lakh for beautification of key city landmarks including Geeta Bhawan, railway underbridge, Jutti Market, Partap Road, and the main bazaar, along with the construction of a clock tower at Guru Nanak College Chowk.

In the power sector, projects worth crores are strengthening electricity infrastructure, including installation of a 220 KV transformer at Rasungawala costing ₹9.82 crore, a 20 MVA transformer costing ₹2.62 crore, and a 132 KV transformer at Sosan costing ₹4.22 crore, alongside ₹3.74 crore being spent on upgrading the distribution system in Moga city. These initiatives are improving supply across the city and benefiting nearly nine surrounding villages, supported further by the completion of a new subdivision office at Dagru at a cost of ₹1 crore.

Together, these investments reflect a governance model focused on execution, scale, and long-term impact, laying the foundation for stronger connectivity, improved urban infrastructure, and reliable power supply across Moga.

Before Calling Others Outsiders, Sunil Jakhar Must Clarify Whether BJP Leader Amit Shah, Who Addressed Moga Rally, Is from Kotkapura: Baltej Pannu

Those taking directions from Delhi have no right to call others ‘outsiders’: Baltej Pannu*

Chandigarh News (4 April 2026): In Amritsar, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab State Media In-Charge Baltej Pannu responded strongly to remarks made by Punjab BJP President Sunil Jakhar, questioning the intent and political consistency behind such statements while defending Punjab’s self-respect and democratic mandate.

AAP Punjab Media In-charge Baltej Pannu said, “Sunil Jakhar has stated that Punjabis should show the ‘outsiders’ the way out. I want to ask him whether the leaders of his own party, including Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who recently came to Moga for a rally, are from Kotkapura. Those who themselves are running Punjab’s politics at the directions of Delhi have no moral right to label others as outsiders.”

He added, “The real discomfort of the BJP and leaders like Sunil Jakhar is that today Punjab has a government of the Aam Aadmi Party, a government that represents the sons and daughters of ordinary families. They are unable to digest how a common person can sit in power and serve the people. Whatever poison they spread through such statements is well understood by the people of Punjab, who know very well who the real patrons of drugs and corruption have been.”

Baltej Pannu further stated, “The Congress party had given Sunil Jakhar respect and entrusted him with significant responsibilities. But when he could not remain loyal to them, how can he be loyal to Punjab and Punjabiyat. A person who could not stay committed to his previous party and ideology is now pretending to safeguard Punjab’s interests.”

He concluded by targeting the BJP on key economic issues, stating, “On the issues of farmers and commission agents, it is the BJP-led central government that has deliberately complicated matters. To divert public attention from its failures and anti-Punjab policies, Sunil Jakhar is now resorting to lies and protests. The people of Punjab will not be misled by such deceptive demonstrations and false statements anymore.”
