3 college girls suffer burn after acid attack in Kerala

Mangalore: Three girl students were badly injured when a youth threw acid on them at a government college in Kadaba town of Dakshina Kannada district. After the incident, the girls have been admitted to a private hospital for treatment.

The students were preparing for the Pre-University Course (PUC) examination sitting in the corridor of the college when the youth threw acid on them.

He came near the students with a bottle full of acid and threw the acid on their faces. The accused has been identified as Abin, a resident of Kasaragod district in Kerala.

After the attack, he tried to flee but the locals, who witnessed the incident, chased him, caught him and handed him over to the police.
