Accused arrested for stealing Rs 1 lakh from Golden Temple: One woman among 4 accused
Amritsar: Punjab police arrested four people allegedly involved in stealing Rs 1 lakh from a counter collecting donations during Ardas at the Golden Temple. The police pursued the accused to Delhi, where they apprehended them, including a woman among the four arrested individuals.
Currently, authorities are transporting the accused back to Amritsar for interrogation.
The Amritsar Police stated that the arrest took place in Jahangirpuri, Delhi. Following their appearance on the Golden Temple’s CCTV cameras, the police systematically scanned the footage, identifying the accused who had departed for Delhi via train. Subsequently, CCTV footage from Delhi Railway Station also confirmed their presence.
Upon reaching Jahangirpuri, the police successfully apprehended the four accused. Presently, efforts are underway to recover the stolen one lakh cash from accused.
