Ajnala violence: Police present challan against 20 associates of Amritpal Singh
Amritsar: The Punjab Police has filed a case of alleged violence at Ajnala police station in Amritsar district of Punjab. This challan has been filed against 20 associates of Amritpal Singh in Ajnala court. In this case, the police have also registered an FIR against 250 unidentified people.
According to the information received, the challan presented in the court was made in the name of Gurpal Singh and others. As he is in Dibrugarh jail, the invoice against Amritpal Singh, the head of the Waris Punjab Day, is yet to be charged. Soon a supplementary challan will be presented against him in the court.
In this challan, the police have been asked to register a case against the accused under sections 307, 353, 186, 120B of IPC and Arms Act.
SP Jugraj Singh has also been named as the main witness in the challan presented on the basis of the complaint of ASI Ratan Singh on behalf of the police. He had more than 10 stitches on his head.
