Body found hanging on tree near Punjab CM House

Chandigarh: The body of a youth was found hanging from a tree near Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s official residence, police said on Friday.

The Punjab Assembly session is scheduled to begin today. Consequently, the police have promptly taken action. Heavy police force has been deployed at the scene.

The deceased has yet to be identified. In this situation, questions arise about how this body could appear here when police forces are deployed on the streets for the assembly session.

Police suspect murder in the case. They are now also investigating the possibility that someone killed the young man and hung him from the tree. The probe is underway.
