Drugs worth Rs 600 crore seized from Pakistani boat in Gujarat

Ahmedabad: The Indian Coast Guard has seized 86 kg of narcotics worth Rs 600 crore from a Pakistani boat in the Arabian Sea. Fourteen people on board the boat off the Gujarat coast have also been arrested.

The maritime security agency said the operation was carried out in coordination with the Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad and the Narcotics Control Bureau at midnight on Saturday.

The agency said in a statement that the Indian Coast Guard carried out an anti-narcotics operation based on intelligence inputs in the sea. He said coast guard ships and aircraft were deployed on high alert for the operation.

The help of ship Rajratna was taken to locate the suspicious boat.
