Family of Colonel Pushpinder Singh Bath holds protest in Patiala, demands CBI probe

Patiala: The family of Colonel Pushpinder Singh Bath, who was allegedly beaten by police officers in Patiala last week, staged a sit-in outside the Deputy Commissioner’s office on Saturday, demanding justice.

People from various backgrounds joined the protest, calling for the immediate transfer of Patiala SSP Dr. Nanak Singh, a CBI investigation into the incident, and the arrest of the four inspectors allegedly involved. Bath’s son, Angad Singh, was also injured in the incident.

During the protest, several media personnel covering the demonstration were manhandled by attendees, prompting them to boycott the event and leave.
