‘Feravir’ medicine used on a large scale for corona treatment did not meet the standard, case registered

New Delhi: The Feravir drug, which is used in the treatment of corona virus, has not met the criteria in the investigation of the Department of Pharmaceuticals. Now the department has registered a case against the drug manufacturer and three others. District Drug Inspector Vaibhav Babbar said that during the pandemic, there was a huge demand for The Feravir drug and this medicine was used in the treatment of the disease.
     He said that in June 2021, a sample of the drug was taken from the medical store in Dadri and after the report came, the investigation has been started. A response has been sought from pharmaceutical company Mascot Health Series Haridwar. The company admitted to making the drug but did not give much details.
    A case has been registered against the company and three persons in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Gautam Budh Nagar after completion of the investigation, he said.
